Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit by Recology Truck in San Francisco Tenderloin

A woman was reportedly critically injured after being struck by a Recology truck in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood near Jones Street and Ellis Street.

According to reports, the crash happened Friday morning near the 400 block of Jones Street. The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported that the Recology truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police stated that drugs or alcohol were not believed to be involved, and the San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit is investigating.

A pedestrian crash involving a garbage truck, recycling truck, commercial truck, delivery vehicle, or work vehicle can cause catastrophic injuries. These incidents may involve driver inattention, unsafe turns, blind spots, failure to keep a proper lookout, unsafe backing, route safety, company training, negligent supervision, vehicle maintenance, and whether the commercial driver followed safe operating procedures.

A proper investigation into a San Francisco commercial truck pedestrian accident may include police reports, surveillance video, truck camera footage, GPS data, route logs, driver training records, company safety policies, maintenance records, inspection records, witness statements, photographs of the scene, roadway conditions, and insurance coverage information.

Pedestrian accidents involving large commercial vehicles can cause traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, fractures, crush injuries, internal injuries, permanent disability, and wrongful death. Injured pedestrians may have claims for emergency treatment, future medical care, pain and suffering, lost income, loss of mobility, and permanent harm.

The JVB Law Firm extends its sincere concern to the woman injured in this tragic San Francisco Tenderloin pedestrian accident.

Families and victims affected by a San Francisco pedestrian accident, Tenderloin truck accident, Jones Street collision, Ellis Street pedestrian crash, Recology truck accident, garbage truck injury case, recycling truck accident, commercial vehicle accident, catastrophic injury claim, or California pedestrian injury case may contact The JVB Law Firm for help.

17-Year-Old Killed and Three Teens Injured in San Francisco I-80 Crash Near Seventh Street Off-Ramp

A 17-year-old was reportedly killed and three other teenagers were injured in a tragic San Francisco freeway crash on Interstate 80 near the Seventh Street off-ramp.

According to reports, the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. after a gray Chevrolet Camaro collided with a Recology semi-truck near the off-ramp. The impact reportedly caused the Camaro to go over the freeway railing, fall approximately 25 feet, strike parked vehicles, flip over, and land upside down in an SFPD impound lot. Emergency responders reportedly used the Jaws of Life to rescue two backseat passengers. The 17-year-old passenger died at the scene, and three surviving teenagers were transported to the hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

A fatal freeway crash involving a passenger vehicle and commercial truck raises serious questions about unsafe lane changes, speed, driver attention, truck positioning, roadway design, seatbelt use, vehicle control, and whether the deadly collision could have been avoided.

Families affected by a San Francisco fatal car accident should act quickly to preserve critical evidence. Important evidence may include CHP reports, traffic-camera footage, dash-camera video, freeway surveillance video, event data recorder downloads, vehicle damage, roadway debris, skid marks, witness statements, 911 calls, tow-yard records, and insurance coverage information.

In California, surviving family members may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim after a fatal car accident. Injured passengers may also have claims for medical treatment, future care, pain and suffering, emotional distress, lost income, and permanent injuries.

The JVB Law Firm extends sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the teenager killed in this tragic San Francisco I-80 crash, and to everyone affected by this serious freeway collision.

San Bernardino I-15 Crash Near Cleghorn Road Reported With Ambulance Response

A San Bernardino freeway crash was reported on Interstate 15 North near Cleghorn Road in San Bernardino County, California, according to CHP traffic logs.

The California Highway Patrol listed the incident as a traffic collision with ambulance en route on I-15 North south of Cleghorn Road. The public CHP log showed the incident in the San Bernardino area and noted ambulance response, but the full facts and injuries were not yet confirmed in the public entry.

Crashes on Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County can be serious because of high freeway speeds, heavy commuter traffic, commercial trucks, mountain-pass conditions, construction zones, lane changes, and driver fatigue. When a crash occurs near Cleghorn Road, injured drivers and passengers may need immediate medical evaluation and careful documentation of the collision.

A complete investigation into an I-15 San Bernardino crash may include CHP reports, traffic-camera footage, dash-camera footage, witness statements, freeway debris photographs, vehicle damage, medical records, truck data if a commercial vehicle was involved, and insurance information.
